Photo Editing

Anyone who has been around me for any extended period of time would know that I have always had a passion for art through a camera lens. I will be the first to admit that I am far from being an expert or even a novice at that. Regardless, I still get pretty excited when my eyes focus in on a good photograph--it moves me in a way that I really can't explain. Just the idea of capturing time - literally, is pretty miraculous to be a part of in one way or the other.

Since I had a little (stress little) time on my hands, I thought to take a few courses on photo editing and see if the process was just as rewarding as framing up a photo. As it turns out, it's just as exhilarating for me. After taking a few courses I decided to try my hand at one of my own photographs - the before and after photos are included below. The after photo is not using an HDR affect which can be pretty cool. In this case, I tweaked the photo's data until the image reflected the Nauvoo, Illinois temple as I remembered seeing it for the first time - breathtaking.

The outcome of your photo editing is, of course, a treasure. The photograph, before the editing, probably would have been discarded...but now can be remembered the way you viewed it this summer. How exciting to be able to enhance your talent! But, what I enjoyed most about this post was your expression of how you feel when you are able to capture "moments" through a camera lens. You are able to uncover or discover beauty, capture it and then share it with others through your photographs. It was beautifully written!
